PEDICURE !!!!

Total relaxation.

Reading a good book.

Sipping on some coffee.

Texting friends.

Getting my nails done.

Conjuring up a combo of San Diego and Hawaii !!

A little amaretto and  ice cream next to our

dream surf vehicle.

I've discovered other simple "indulgences" this week -

the JOY of of having time

to do whatever I want,

to use however I wish.

the JOY of sleeping late and waking 

with sunlight drifting dreamily through the curtains.

the JOY of being free to wear flip-flops all day.

Indulgences -

free with this new territory.

Look around for those 'special' smile-provoking

moments in your own little world.

I like to think that we all need to have a little something special in each day......something that "takes us away" from the ordinariness (which I have nothing against!!) of our daily routine.

I'm feeling kinda special with this beautiful drink prepared by the best - my husband, Jim.

I'm imagining a tropical breeze and hearing ukulele music.  And, if i squint just a little, I can see the Napali Coast.

The truth is, we can all 'indulge' someone everyday - and we should.  Maybe a smile to the lady walking her dog, maybe a wave to our neighbor, maybe a friendly greeting to the clerk at the grocery store.  We all need a boost.........these small "indulgences" cost nothing.
